History of the classic Nebulus game

Nebulus was developed by Traffix Entertainment Inc. and published by Hewson and U.S Gold. The game was designed by John M. Phillips and released in 1987 for the home computer market. Nebulus is single player game of the platform genre. The main objective of the game, is to guide a small green character by the name of Pogo on his quest to destroy eight towers. Pogo starts his journey at the bottom of each tower, and then must make his way to the top. Along the way to prevent our hero from completing his quest, the towers are littered with many enemies that Pogo has to battle with in order to reach the top. Some can be defeated by shooting. If Pogo is knocked off a ledge he falls onto the ledge below, but if there is no ledge, Pogo falls into the sea. If the player is successful at reaching the top of the tower, Pogo must then enter the door to activate a destruction mechanism. After destroying the tower, the player is then treated to a bonus stage, which involves the shooting of fish to earn more points.
